You can make online booking for Turkish Airlines’ all direct and connecting flights.

You may choose “Ticket By Office” (TBO) as the delivery option and book online in order to purchase your ticket later on from Turkish Airlines Sales Offices.

4. How far in advance can I book a flight online?

Online reservations can only be made at least 3 hours up to 355 days prior to your first flight.It Varies on the basis of the ticketing options . There are three different types.

Ticket By Office

If you are making your reservations via our web site between 48 hours to 355 days prior to your first flight, you may obtain your ticket from any Turkish Airlines sales office. The originating point of your trip can be any city to which Turkish Airlines direct or connected flights.

5. If I am looking for availability on a particular day and there is no availability, will I be offered an alternative date?

For unavailable direct flights, you will be displayed 6 first available alternative flights. However, you can look for it by yourself since there are next and previous day buttons just beneath the flight availability screen.

6. Can I make a round-trip reservation via your web site?

While specifying your reservation details, select round trip as a travel type.

7. Where do I go if I need to travel to more than one city in a single trip when making a reservation via your web site?

Through our web site you can make your reservation involving multiple cities by selecting
Return to/from different city as the travel type.

8. How many flight segments can I book in one itinerary when making reservation via your web site?

Maximum 6 flights per reservation session.

9. How many passengers can I book online in one itinerary

On the international flights , booking can be made for maximum 7 ( adults + child ) and 2 infants at one time for Economy Class (best buy). For the domestic flights, number of infants in the booking may be equal to the total number of child and adult.

10. How do I select my seat during the online booking process?

On Turkish Airlines flights, on the confirmation page you will be displayed interactive seat map to make a seat preference 100 days prior to flight only in Business Class for domestic flights and in both Business and Economy Classes for international flights. You can make your seat selection according to your seat preferences.

11. Can I select seats on your seat map if I am flying on a code-share flight?

Business class seat selection can only be made for domestic flights within Turkey and on the international flights to Economy and Business class seat selections can be made for all short-haul (Europe) or long-haul (America,Far east)
In accordance with the agreements made with the other airline companies seat preference is not possible for the code share flights.

12. What happens to my seat if Turkish Airlines has a schedule change or an equipment change ?

You will be informed about the change and a new seat selection (same or similar to the previous one) will be made.

13. I booked online yesterday. Can I review my online reservation today?

You can display your reservation via ‘’VIEW’’ button.

14. I purchased a ticket from a travel agent. Can I review the booking online?

No. You can only display online reservations made via Turkish Airlines web site.

15. What does “closed” mean?

Closed means that the requested flight is closed due to insufficient time and reservation.

16. The flights are closed. Can I waitlist a reservation online?

Waitlisting online is not possible. You may waitlist yourself by calling local Turkish Airlines Sales Offices or Turkish Airlines Call Centers (+ 90 212 444 0 849 in Turkey).

17. Do I need to reconfirm my flight?

When booking online please check the note below the availability screen to see whether there is a need for reconfirmation or not.

18. Can I reconfirm online?

Yes. Via Online Ticket menu , on the right-hand menu you can use Reconfirmation link. Please call local Turkish Airlines Sales Offices or Internet Sales Service Centers for reconfirmation.

19. Can I make changes to a reservation that I have already made on your web site?

For the amendments of reservations that you made via our web site, please call your local Internet Sales Service Center. Depending on the fare rules, Internet Sales Service Centers will explain the amendment rules and procedures.

20. Will my credit card be charged straight away?

After having confirmed the reservation details on the confirmation page, your credit card will be charged accordingly.

21. If I do not have a credit card can I still make a reservation on your web site?

If you do not have any credit card, You can make your payment by choosing EFT/MONEY TRANSFER, Turkish Airlines Pay&Fly through partner banks’ “Internet Banking System “payment option or you can make your reservation by choosing “TICKET BY OFFICE” as delivery option.

22. What are the rules of payment via EFT/MONEY TRANSFER?

  • Departure date of first segment of PNRs whose payment is made via EFT/MONEY TRANSFER, has to be between 2 working days + 5 days and 355 days after first reservation date.
  • EFT/MONEY TRANSFER payment option can only be offered only for the flights departing from Turkey.
  • Option time limit of the PNRs with EFT/MONEY TRANSFER payment will be 2 working days until 15:55 after first reservation date.
  • EFT/MONEY TRANSFER will be made among banks located within Turkey.
  • EFT/MONEY TRANSFER transactions will be completed by transferring total amount and EFT/MONEY TRANSFER code to Turkish Airlines’ Bank Account .
  • After total amount tranferred to Turkish Airlines’ Bank Account, tickets will be issued as electronic ticket and sent to the passenger.
  • Due to differences EFT/MONEY TRANSFER procedures of the banks, Cancel/Refund requests will be kept and Cancel/Refund procedures will be realized as soon as possible.
  • Since Bank are not available during official holidays and weekends, web site does not offer EFT/Money TRANSFER payment option in these periods.
  • Turkish Airlines is not responsible of any delays or other faults (deficient/excess EFT/MONEY TRANSFER amount, money transfer limit, terms and conditions about money ransfer from bank counter etc.) caused by Banking Regulations and systems during EFT/MONEY TRANSFER transactions. Passenger is responsible to make sure that required amount transfered to Turkish Airlines’ Bank Account within the given time limit.

23. Can I use someone else’s credit card to book my flight online ?

The credit card holder might not be one of the passengers in your reservation. If the credit card holder is not the passenger, Cancellation/Rebooking/Rerouting requests of the passenger can be realized unless the credit card holder is present with the passenger with his/her credit card (used for the payment) and an identification card or the credit card holder must apply one of the Turkish Airlines Sales Offices to show the credit card (used for the payment) and his/her valid identification card.

24. Can I purchase online ticket to someone other than myself?

You can make online booking up to 7 people in case a credit card of one of these passengers is used.

There may be different reasons such as unavailable limit, invalid card number, expiration error and etc. Under such a circumstance please send e-mail to iats@turkishairlines.com in order to get information about your card refusal.

26. How do I cancel my online reservation?

In case your first flight departure time is over please call local Internet Sales Service Center (ISSC) or apply to the ticket sales counter where your journey begins. You can reach local ISSC phone numbers by clicking on the contact button on the online ticket pages. Cancellations can also be made by Turkish Airlines Sales Offices.

Cancellation of your booking will be made according to the fare rules on your ticket.

TICKET BY OFFICE (TBO) RESERVATION CANCELLATION
If reservation has not been ticketed you may cancel your online reservation through our web site by clicking on the cancellation button. All passengers' flight under the same reservation code will be cancelled with the "Cancellation" button. An e-mail message concerning cancellation result will be sent to e-mail address given during the reservation process. It is not possible to make any change on reservations made through Turkish Airlines web site. In order to make changes on an Internet reservation, it should be completely cancelled and then booked again or either Internet Sales Service Center (ISSC)  or Turkish Airlines Sales Office or call centers should be called.

TICKET ON DEPARTURE (TOD) RESERVATION CHANGE:

Before Departure : Please apply to ISSC’s for cancellations.
Both for domestic and international flights; rebooking and rerouting is not permitted on original bookings. For pure domestic bookings when there are more than 12 hours prior to the departure ticketed, the cancellation can only be done via Internet and there is no penalty. After having completed the reservation for international lines and in case there are less than 12 hours prior to the departure for domestic lines, automatic cancellation via Internet is not permitted. In this case you have to contact Internet Sales Service Center. According to the fare rules, Cancellation/refund and rebooking/rerouting processes are carried out at the following airports:

All the flights of all passengers’ in the reservation will be cancelled after you hit the cancellation buton. A message regarding cancellation request will be sent automatically by the system to the credit card holder’s e-mail address. The refund will be made to the credit card account that has been used for payment of the tickets.You’re not allowed to change the reservation on the website.When you want to make a change you can cancel the reservation and make a new one or contact to Ticket sales counter , or ISSC’s. Cancellation will be done according to your ticket’s rules.

ELECTRONIC TICKET CANCELLATION - REFUND

Electronic tickets including at least one international flight cancellation, refund, rebooking and rerouting procedures can not be made via our web site. For your cancellation, refund, rebooking and rerouting requests, please contact nearest Turkish Airlines Sales Office with your Ticket Itinerary Receipt (TIR) an acceptable form of identification (Passport, National ID Card or Driving License)

Electronic tickets including only domestic flights cancellation and refund procedures can be made via our web site until the scheduled flight departure time of the first flight . No refunds can be made after departure of the first flight departure via web site. For your rebooking and rerouting requests of pure domestic electronic tickets, please either contact nearest Turkish Airlines Sales Office with your Ticket Itinerary Receipt (TIR) an acceptable form of identification (Passport, National ID Card or Driving License) or Internet Sales Service Center (ISSC) in the country where the journey begins.

27. What is a restricted fare?

Even though there is no difference in the service quality or seat quality for the same cabin, various fares are applied on our flights differentiated by the minimum/maximum stay and other conditions. Economy restricted fares are cheaper than other fares but they have requirements such as minimum stay, maximum stay, advance purchase with rebooking, rerouting and refund limitations.

28. How can I view the fare rules via your web site?

29. What should I do if I do not understand the fare rules?

30. I requested the economy restricted fare and was quoted a higher fare, why?

Even if you have selected the economy restricted fare, the automatic pricing system checks the availability of the class in relation to the lowest fare. If the class of the lowest fare is unavailable then the pricing system offers the next higher fare whose related class is available.

31. Can I get reduced fares when booking online ?

It depends on the availability of the class related to the lowest/reduced fare.

32. Do you have special offers?

33. Why is there no available seats for special offers ?

Special offer fares have a limited capacity. If all seats reserved to special fares are sold you can not book a seat for that fare but for a higher fare.

Sorry this is not possible since the automatic pricing system checks the availability of the related class for the lowest fare as well. Thus if the class of the lowest fare is unavailable when you access the system you will not get the same fare any longer.

37. How can I get a price for my trip?

After having specified the reservation details you will be displayed the availability for the requested itinerary and the date. On the third page, which is the pricing page, your booking will be priced on the basis of your preferences.

38. The fare is different than what I was quoted during the booking process , What do I do?

For the bookings ( ELECTRONIC TICKET, TICKET ON DEPARTURE) whose online payment made during the online reservation process, the fare is guaranteed . For the TICKET BY OFFICE reservations, the fare is not guaranteed as no payment made yet. Fares for TICKET BY OFFICE bookings are subject to change since they are only valid for the country where the journey begins .

39. For Ticket on Departure reservations which documents do I need to bring to the airport to collect my ticket?

For the ELECTRONIC TICKET and TICKET ON DEPARTURE bookings , you must bring the credit card used for the payment during the online reservation with you and also a valid ID card. For the other delivery options no document is needed.

40. Which credit cards do you accept for payment online?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Carte Blue and CartaSi Card for payments made on the Turkish Airlines website. But if you want to use other credit cards like JCB, Air Travel Card-UATP-, Prestige, Discover Card, you can choose Ticket By Office option and make payment in our offices by the credit card you prefer.
