Turkish Airlines’ CEO Temel Kotil, Ph.D., was elected Deputy Chairman of the Association of European Airlines (AEA) for 2013 and the Association’s Board Chairman for 2014 and 2015 at a recent AEA board meeting in Brussels.
The creation of aviation policies is discussed and the state of the aviation industry and opportunities in the sector are assessed at the meetings, which are held twice a year with the participation of AEA-member airlines.
As Board Chairman of the Association of European Airlines, Turkish Airlines’ CEO Temel Kotil, Ph.D., will have an opportunity to personally express his views at these meetings on the aviation sector, which is high on the European Union’s agenda.
GUEST OF HONOR ARGENTINA
Argentina is to be this year’s guest of honor at the Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMITT), slated to take place in Istanbul January 23 to 27 with Turkish Airlines sponsorship. Promoting Argentina’s natural and cultural assets on the one hand, the fair aims to strengthen ties between Turkey and Argentina on the other. Argentine officials believe that the fair will also contribute to an increase in the number of Turkish tourists coming to their country. With its Buenos Aires flights, scheduled to get under way in December, Turkish Airlines too is offering passengers going to Argentina a comfortable, direct flight.
