Contents / Waltzes in the night Vienna

Vienna , city of waltzes, parks, fashionable cafes, Art Nouveau and Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis...

A s a city that has preserved its historical texture intact, Vienna also maintains its aristocratic air and traditions. Taking care to preserve that texture, let us begin with a cathedral, the Stephensdom in the heart of the city.

In Vienna all roads lead to the Stephansdom, a stunning cathedral which the Viennese believe symbolizes the spirit of their city. There is a legend associated with each steeple of this cathedral, which was the scene of the weddings of numerous musicians, Mozart among them, kings and other famous people. In a street immediately behind the church stands the house where Mozart lived from 1784 to 1787 and composed The Marriage of Figaro. You can listen to the opera on earphones as you tour the house.
