Turkish Airlines celebrated its 70th anniversary, and at the same time the 80th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, with an unforgettable reception. On this special occasion, world-famous Turkish pianist Tuluyhan Ugurlu played the world première of his Turkish Symphony. I wish to thank all our guests for joining us on this memorable evening.
The end of every year is a time for looking back and evaluating the past months. In 2003 the Iraq War that took place in such close proximity to Turkey, and the Sars epidemic which affected the entire world, both had an adverse impact on airlines everywhere.
