  • Medical Equipment

    Wheelchairs:

    • Wheelchairs are carried free of charge.

    Oxygen Tanks:

    • Because medically certificated oxygen tanks are available on board the passenger is not allowed to use his or her own oxygen tank.
    • Only after the necessary checks have been made to ensure that it is empty will the passenger's own tank be carried in the hold as checked baggage.
    • Patients traveling seated or on a stretcher who produces a doctor's report may obtain the specified amount of oxygen needed for the duration of the flight.
    • Requests for oxygen tanks must be made at least 24 hours before the flight.

    Dialysis Machines:

    • Travel with a dialysis machine is not permitted on our flights.

    Breathing Machines:

    • Portable oxygen concentrators (POS), breathing machines (respirators, ventilators), sleep apnoea devices (CPAP) may be carried or used by the passenger in the cabin or the cargo compartment.
    • Such devices must be compliant with RTCA standards, FAA approved, EMI compliant and be manufactured by one of the brands approved by our Alliance.     • The reservation unit must be informed 48 hours prior to the time of the flight.

    Incubators:

    • Babies may not be carried in incubators on our flights.

    Passengers on a Stretcher:

    • Passengers on a stretcher may not travel without written permission of their doctor and an accompanying passenger.
    • The accompanying passenger is a paying passenger and must be an adult, able to give needed care to the passenger on a stretcher passenger for the duration of the flight.
    • Our airline does not provide a hostess to care for the patient. For the patient to be able to fly, a report written in Turkish or English stating the nature of the complaint and that it does not pose an obstacle to air travel is required.
    • Reports prepared in other languages will not be accepted without notary certification.
    • The report must be no more than 10 days old.
    • Passengers on a stretcher may only travel in the economy cabin.

  • Musical Instruments

    • Musical instruments of dimensions not in excess of cabin baggage limits may be carried as cabin baggage.
    • Musical instruments of dimensions exceeding cabin baggage limits may be carried in the cabin on the condition that an extra seat is purchased and reserved in advance.
    • Musical instruments to be carried in the cabin on a seat must be no more than 75 kg and be of dimensions not exceeding 50x50x67 cm. Larger musical instruments must be carried as hold baggage.
    • The dimensions of the musical instrument to be carried in the cabin must be of dimensions appropriate to the seat.

    Travel Cots Belonging to the Passenger

    • A travel cot belonging to the passenger may be accepted as cabin baggage during check-in.
    • Its dimensions must not exceed 70x30cm.
    • Baby buggies are carried free of charge provided that you are travelling with infants.

     

    Baby Car Seats

    Araba Tipi Bebek Puseti

    • Used for babies no more than two years old.
    • Passengers who wish to transport their baby with this type of seat must pay for a child's ticket.
    • The dimensions of the seat must be no more than 40x40cm so as to fit into the cabin seat.
    • The seat must have its own securing strap.

     

    Baby Carriages

    • Baby carriages carried as checked baggage and taken at the head of the aircraft is loaded last and unloaded first from the aircraft.
    • The passenger hands over the baby carriage to the personnel while boarding and takes receipt of it while disembarking the cabin.
    • Baby buggies are carried free of charge provided that you are travelling with infants.
    • Baby carriages, excepting prams for which a ticket has been obtained, are to be transported as hold baggage.
