1. How do you assign a time limit?

Taking into consideration of the date and time of your booking, the time limit is assigned by the system according to the predefined time limit rules.

2. Where do i get my ticket?

You can purchase your ticket via www.turkishairlines.com, by local Turkish Airlines Sales Offices, authorized sales agencies and also from our call center (444 0 849) by using your credit card.

3. Which credit cards do you accept for payment in general?

For online payments only VISA, Euro/ MasterCards  and American Express are accepted. VISA, Euro/MasterCard  are accepted from Call Center.

You can purchase tickets  from our website by using your Carte Blue Vista Card for France departures and CartaSi Card for Italy departures.

4. Can I travel with IST-NYC-IST open ticket that has been issued for my father?

All rights of ticket such as travel, reservation, reissuing is only retained by the person which the ticket has been issued for and this right can not be transferred to another person.

5. When does my open ticket expire?

For both domestic and international flights, if your ticket is totally unused the period of validity shall be  12 months from the date of issue of your ticket. If your ticket is partly used the period of validity shall be 12 months from the date of commencement of your first flight .
In case of refund request; if you have partly used ticket , it will be refunded within 24 months from the date of commencement of your first flight. If your ticket is totally unused then it will be refunded within 24 months from the date of issue of your ticket.
But both domestic and international special fares may have other refund and reissue time limitations different from as defined above, for detailed information please contact  Turkish Airlines Sales Offices Worldwide.

6. I have purchased a domestic ticket from travel agency. Can I obtain refund from Turkish Airline’s Sales Office’s?

You can obtain refund of your ticket from travel agency within 30 days, after 30 days you can obtain your refund from Turkish Airlines Sales Offices. If you can not find the branch of the travel agency in the city you want to obtain your refund in, you can obtain refund from Turkish Airlines Sales Office.

7. I have lost my ticket. What do I do now?

It depends on what kind of ticket you have lost.If you have a ticket for an international flight.In order for a replacement ticket to be issued; sufficient information of the lost ticket shall be obtained by the issuing carrier. Necessary investigation shall be conducted to verify that the lost ticket or portion thereof has not been used or previously refunded or replaced free of charge. Lost ticket charge shall be applied as USD 100.00 only for tickets issued in America and Canada.
Where there is insufficient time for lost ticket inquiry and for the issuance of a replacement ticket, you shall be transported by purchasing a new ticket. New ticket shall be refunded 6 months after the completion of the passenger’s journey. EUR 42.00 processing fee shall be charged.
If you have a ticket for domestic flight.In the case of domestic flight tickets loss, you shall be transported by purchasing a new ticket. New ticket shall be refunded 6 months after the completion of the passenger’s journey. EUR 12.00 processing fee shall be charged.
For electronic tickets no lost ticket charge shall be applied. You can either apply to the check-in desks at airport to make check-in or you can obtain a new “passenger itinerary receipt” from our sales offices.

8. I have a daughter in London and I want to buy London-Istanbul ticket for her. If I pay ticket price in IST can she obtain her ticket in London?

A person who shall travel and the person who shall make the payment might be in different cities, in this case Electronic ticket procedures will apply. If the Electronic ticket procedure does not apply ,  paper ticket will be issued by PTA. That means you shall be charged fare plus taxes in IST and ticket issuance information will be sent to London office. London office first of all checks her ID, fare and taxes of the ticket then issue a ticket for her.
