Beyond A Circus
Beyond A Circus
Cirque Du Soleil Have Proved Themselves By Successfully Combining The Centuries-Old Circus Tradition With Modern Show Culture And Reaching Millions Of Spectators Around The World.
Cirque du Soleil is one of those rare performance groups that is both theatrical and entertaining, pleasing the eyes as well as the ears, going beyond the traditional circus in a series of independent and different dance and acrobatic displays. The show the group will stage in Istanbul is Alegria, which means joy in Spanish; its slogan, “an ode to the energy, virtue and power of youth. The show’s story chronicles the transformation of society, and people from every stratum of society, from ancient monarchies to today’s democracy.
One of their shows, which are slated to take place on the two sides of Istanbul at the end of September and beginning of October, should definitely be on your calendar.
