Franco-Lebanese author Amin Maalouf’s new book, Le Dérèglement du Monde, has been brought out in Turkish translation by Yapı-Kredi Publications under the title ‘Çivisi Çıkmış Dünya’.

Critical in the book of a West that writes in line with its own historical interests, Maalouf considers the reasons why the East, once regarded as the cradle of civilizations, has fallen behind. A prominent role is also assigned to Turkey and Ataturk in the book. In our age of tolerance, the book serves as a compass for those who would like to succeed in living together and respecting each other despite everything. Critical of post-World War II U.S. politics, the West’s approach and the mayhem it has unleashed, the book also offers views on the Middle East question.
