Worker And Nurse

The work of Ted Noten, who constantly challenges the limits of his expertise and who skillfully joins together materials that are hard to put together, is in the display which brings together 10 important names from the art of contemporary jewelry.

Working in different fields at the beginning of his career as a construction worker and a nurse at a psychiatric clinic, the artist began to produce his first works in the field of contemporary jewelry after he graduated from the Amsterdam Rietveld Academy in 1990.  

Noten has participated in many individual and mixed exhibitions since 2001, and his works are found in many important institutional collections like the Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art, the Amsterdam Stedelijk Museum, the London Victoria and Albert Museum, Amsterdam Droog Design, the Rotterdam Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and the Montreal Musée des Arts Decorative. At the same time Ted Noten has received many awards like Harrie - Tillie and Françoise van den Bosch.
