SULTANIC SPECTATOR SPORTS

The Sultanic Spectator Sports is an open-air performance that draws inspiration from the Ottoman period. Performances at public entertainments that were personally watched by the sultan and palace officials during the Ottoman period like parades of highly decorated artificial trees, wrestling, horse racing, acrobatics, juggling and dancing will be held throughout the month of Ramadan at the Sultanahmet Square. This project aims for the people of Istanbul to attend the entertainment like in former times and for the Sultanahmet Square to be used in enhanced activities.
