Back To The Golden Age Of Rock

Steve Winwood says of the early years of his friendship with Clapton, “I was 15 or 16, he was 18 or 19 and a big brother to me.”

The friendship grew and the duo added drummer Ginger Baker and bass player Rich Grech to form Blind Faith. In 1969 they released their first and only album of the same name, which hit the top of the charts. Before long the team disbanded, each one going on to a successful musical career. The decision to come together again came from Clapton, who is eager to recapture the romanticism of the past in beautiful music.
The duo intends take listeners back to the golden age of rock’n’roll in their Istanbul concert with songs like ‘Little Wing’ from Jimi Hendrix, ‘Forever Man’ from Clapton, and ‘Pearly Queen’ from Winwood’s group, Traffic.
