The Middle East’s largest tourism organization

The Arabian Travel Market, the Middle East’s leading tourism and travel event, took place on 6-9 May with the participation of over 2200 cities, companies and tour operators from seventy countries.

Faruk Çizmecioğlu, Turkish Airlines Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Turkish Airlines managers in ten European countries, and five Middle East country directors were present at this year’s 15th Arabian Travel Market, which is one of the biggest tourism organizations ever held up to now.
Taking part in the organization this year for the first time and with a 30 square-meter stand, Turkish Airlines exhibited its Business Class seats. The Turkish Airlines stand was in the Turkey Hall, where a total of 21 firms, 17 private and 4 state-run, from the country’s hotel and tourism sector were represented. The tourism development projects exhibited at Arabian Travel Market 2008 are worth over 100 billion dollars. Always in search of new projects, the global tourism industry found an opportunity to see the Middle East’s impressive tourism portfolio first-hand at this year’s Arabian Travel Market.
