Miles&Smiles members will be able to upgrade on 13 airlines

Turkish Airlines (THY), which has made offering its passengers continuous innovations a priority goal, has become the 13th airline to offer upgrades in the Star Alliance, of which it became a full member on 1 April 2008.

Under the new policy, members of frequent flyer programs on Turkish Airlines (Miles&Smiles), Air New Zealand (Airpoints), ANA (ANA Mileage Club), Asiana Airlines (Asiana Club), Austrian Airlines (Miles & More), LOT Polish Airlines (Miles & More), Lufthansa (Miles & More), SAS (EuroBonus), Singapore Airlines (KrisFlyer), SWISS Airlines (Miles & More), TAP Portugal (Victoria) THAI (Royal Orchid Plus) will be able to use the miles they have earned to upgrade on any of these thirteen airlines. Passengers holding tickets with confirmed reservations in 'Y' or 'B' class on THY flights will be able to upgrade either over the THY website or through the THY Call Center. Depending on the cabin plan of the airline, passengers will be able to fly First or Business Class on the 13 participating airlines using their THY Miles&Smiles miles. Thanks to this policy, Miles&Smiles members will now enjoy the privilege of upgrading not only on THY flights but on several other airlines as well thanks to the miles they have earned on Miles&Smiles. They may even use their own miles to enable those close to them to enjoy this privilege. For details and upgrades, visit the website at, or contact the Call Center at 444 0 849.
