Karlıtekin Leaves

Dr. Candan Karlıtekin Chairman of the Board at Turkish Airlines since 2003 will be leaving his position from the January 1st, 2010. During the time in his position Turkish Airlines doubling in size was a consequence of his work together with the collaborations of the Board of Directors through goals focused on growth and the application of these goals by all in the company including executives, officers, engineers and workers.

In his farewell speech upon the announcement that his position would be ending, Karlıtekin said, “I feel honoured to have worked for Turkish Airlines and can say I have worked the seven years with great joy. I believe Turkish Airlines will be continuing its path in the right way and with success. I’d like to express my gratitude to all those who have given me the opportunity to be involved in this service and to acquire an unerasable honorable page to add to my resume.”

Board of Directors Deputy Chairman Hamdi Topçu has been elected to take over from Candan Karlıtekin from January 1st, 2010.
