U19 European Championship in Turkey
Hosted by Germany in 2011, the FIFA Women’s World Cup was a striking demonstration that soccer is not just a man’s game. Turkey has developments like the newly opened girls’ soccer clubs.
Sponsored by Turkish Airlines, the Turkish Football Federation has also won the right to 350,000 euros’ worth of project support from UEFA. In another piece of encouraging news the UEFA U19 Women’s European Championship in 2012 is going to be held in Turkey. The championship will take place in Antalya July 2 to 14 with the participation of host-country Turkey and the seven teams emerging from the tournaments.
