Dear Guests, In one of the many initiatives it launched in the new year, Turkish Airlines continued to inaugurate more new routes in the month of February. As a company that aims to be not just a ‘regional power’ but a ‘global trademark’ in civil aviation, we are therefore proud to be moving step by step towards our goals.

You may now fly direct, with the Turkish Airlines’ guarantee, to Rostov, Donetsk, Tabriz and Kazan, the new destinations that were introduced in February after much careful planning. We believe that these new routes, which are to be followed by still others in March, will strengthen our nation’s cultural and economic ties as well as our bonds of friendship and brotherhood with the other countries in the region. It therefore gives us great pleasure to share with you our pride in undertaking such an important mission.
We are confident that our flights to Donetsk, our fourth destination in Ukraine following Kiev, Simferopol and Odessa, and to Rostov and Kazan, our second and third destinations in the Russian Federation after Moscow, are going to raise relations between our countries to the highest possible level. In addition to these three major cities, we are also happy to be adding to the Turkish Airlines’ transport network another city in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Tabriz, following the capital Tehran. The decision to introduce this route was taken for the purpose of connecting this city, with its vast economic potential, first with Europe and then with the rest of the world. We believe that our decision to fly to Tabriz, a major center of commerce and manufacturing, is going to take the already long-standing friendship between our two countries in the economic and cultural arena to even greater heights.
As we bring you in touch with new countries on the one hand, on the other we are also pursuing our efforts with regard to safety and security, issues on which Turkish Airlines has placed special importance over the years. As the sole company in Turkey authorized to maintain airplanes and aircraft engines and their components, Turkish Airlines underwent an inspection from 23 to 27 January by the U.S. Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) for renewal of its ‘Aircraft Maintenance Authorization Certificate’. Following the detailed inspections that were conducted by FAA officials at the maintenance facilities, we are proud to announce that our maintenance standards were said to be in complete compliance with FAA standards and regulations, and each and every one of our service personnel to have a highly developed concept of maintenance.
Through the selfless efforts of our dedicated employees, we intend to set our sights even higher in order to consolidate our Company’s place among the world’s most respected airlines.
I wish you all a pleasant flight.
