To the Attention of Turkish Airlines’ Passengers...

Referring to the decision of the Cabinet with the number of 2011/1474 which came into force with the publish of the Official Gazette on March 10th, 2011 Thursday, the start date of the 2011 Daylight Saving Time has been changed to March 28th, 2011 instead of March 27th, 2011.

According to this decision, all Turkish Airlines’ flights on March 27th, 2011 will depart from or arrive to Turkish destinations 1 hour earlier than it is shown on purchased tickets.

For reservations and ticketings that will be done after 14th of March, the flight times will be just as seen on the system and tickets.

On other destinations, there will not be any change since the local time will remain as scheduled.

For the transit passengers who will travel via Turkey, the connection times will also remain the same. The change of the DST in Turkey will not increase the connection times in Turkey. The flights will arrive 1 hour early, the connecting flights will depart 1 hour early.

The passengers who will travel from the airports in Turkey, are kindly requested to be ready at the airport at least 2 hours before the departure time for their domestic flights, at least 3 hours before the departure time for their international flights.

It is strongly suggested all the passengers that they should check their flight times from (www.thy.com) Turkish Airlines’ web site,Turkish Airlines’ Sales Offices, (444 0 849) Turkish Airlines’ Call Center or the Sales Offices.

Passengers may also provide the hours of their flights by sending a text message to (+90) 532 444 0849. To inquire the flight times, please send a message and dial “FLIGHT”, space, FLIGHT NUMBER, space, FLIGHT DATE with the capital letters (example: FLIGHT 1979 2703).
