Perceptions Of A City
Perceptions Of A City
Carried Out Jointly By Photographer Carole Sionnet And Sketch Artist Pier Gajewski Since 2008, The Blue City Art Project Can Be Seen At Istanbul’s French Culture Center March 14 To April 30.
The product of an interaction between the drawing and the photograph, the project exhibits studies of cities the artists have visited. Using visuals that juxtapose a drawing with a photograph, it recreates the cities as perceived in the artists’ imaginations. The whole exhibition includes fifteen neighborhoods of different cities, among them Istanbul, Amsterdam and Seoul.
