Turkish Airlines takes the 3rd place in European In-Flight Entertainment Awards...

Turkish airlines has been ranked as the third in in-flight entertainment awards by the leading research advisors in air travel industry Skytrax and World Airline Entertainment Association ( WAEA).
Thirty-three commercial airlines from around the world competed for the 20th Annual
WAEA Avion Award of distinction honoring excellence in  inflight entertainment  in 7 different categories.

The winners were ranked highest by airline passengers around the world in opinion polls administered online in multiple languages by Skytrax and WAEA. This ranking is very important for Turkish Airlines which is committed to increase quality of passenger service.  
AVOD digital system is used on A330 type of aircraft and modification completed five of A340 type of aircraft in Turkish Airlines fleet. This system enables passengers to choose any application by a remote control in Business Class and by  a remote control or by a touch screen in Economy Class.       
This application which can be found under Communication headline enables to send short SMS’ and emails and also passengers arriving Istanbul can learn the gate number. In addition hourly updated economy, magazine, finance news and weather forecast can be found as a text reading.
Under the Information headline fleet, cargo, Miles and Smiles FF program, destination guide, information for Turkey, passenger survey, airport map, flight map, flight camera  can be displayed.          
Entertainment headline contains total of 30 of classic, actual, international and children’s movies, total 40 of TV serial, documentary, cartoon channels,  250 CD music channel, 17 games , voice book and duty free shopping.
