Dear Guests, Here at Turkish Airlines we are continuing to increase our number of destinations abroad in order to bring the faraway nearer, to bring cultures and traditions closer together, and to strengthen social and economic ties between nations.
In addition to our already existing flights to Almaty in Kazakhstan, we also added round-trip flights to the capital Astana starting on 19 October. We believe that both trade and tourism are going to gain momentum with these Thursday and Sunday flights from Astana, which will make a great contribution not only to the economies of the two countries but to the regional economies as well.
Turkish Airlines is proud to be celebrating its 72nd year on the 82nd anniversary of the Turkish Republic. In addition to the investments that are going to make it a world trademark under the conditions of global competition, our company also aims to find a top place among the airlines preferred by customers not only in Turkey but abroad through the investments it is making in its own image. In addition to the new uniforms we told you about last month, on which we worked for close to nine months with noted Turkish fashion design Cemil İpekçi, new designs for our cabin interiors and refreshment services are also going to be unveiled soon together with our new planes. Joining the fleet this month, our A330 aircraft, which is decorated with tulip motifs on a white background, is going to serve you, our esteemed passengers, in a concept that is spanking new from A to Z.
I would like to share with you that when the avian flu that first appeared in the countries of the Far East was also detected in Turkey we at Turkish Airlines took full responsibility for implementing all the requisite measures in line with the decrees issued by our Ministry. Upon the recommendations of the experts in the field, we are therefore giving our full backing to the training of all flight and other relevant personnel. I would like to point out further that all the refreshments served on our aircraft have passed the highest level of hygiene control and pose absolutely no risk whatsoever.
For the purpose of bringing air travel to a broader mass of people, our airline has introduced discounts starting from as low as TL 59 on many flights, in addition to the already existing discounts available on our domestic flights during the month of Ramazan. Hoping that this will unite you with your loved ones more readily, more comfortably and more easily, I would like to extend to all of you my most heartfelt wishes for a pleasant Ramazan Holiday.
