Genghis Khan is coming
An exhibition, ‘Genghis Khan and his Heirs’, scheduled to coincide with the 800th anniversary of his founding of the Mongol empire, will open at the Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum on 7 December.
Exhibited in the Garanti Bank-sponsored exhibition are some 600 works culled from museums in Mongolia and Turkey as well as from leading collections in Europe and East Asia. Offering an overview of the links forged between cultures and continents by the Mongol Empire, the exhibition, which runs through
8 April 2007, is also enriched with lectures, workshop projects, child education programs and gallery talks.
