History and cinema meet for the 9th time
The now-traditional International Cinema-History Meeting, organized annually by the TÜRSAK Foundation, will be held 16-22 December.
Centered around the theme, ‘Empires’, this year’s festival brings the biggest empires in history back on the agenda through film. Venues for the films to be shown in the nine-part program are Alkazar, the Cinebonus Kanyon and Cinebonus Maçka G-Mall theaters, and the French Culture Center. In conjunction with the festival, a symposium, ‘Evening of the Empires’, to be moderated by Prof. Dr. Ilber Ortaylı with the participation of historians from Turkey and around the world, will also be held at the Dolmabahçe Palace.
