Yılmabaşar mother and daughter at ACC

The three large galleries of Atatürk Culture Center are hosting an exhibition by fellow artists Jale and Sedef Yılmabaşar, a mother-daughter team, from 2 to 23 November. Turkey’s first woman professor of ceramics, Jale Yılmabaşar was awarded the title of State Artist in 1998. Now she is presenting paintings by herself and her daughter Sedef using new techniques. Accompanying the exhibition is a book, compiled over the past two years and published by Promat Printshop, documenting Jale Yılmabaşar’s 43-year career as an artist.
