Frequent flyer partnership with Austrian Airlines
A new frequent flyer partnership is beginning between Turkish Airlines and Austrian Airlines.
Under the partnership, members of both airlines’ frequent flyer programs will be able to earn and use their miles on either airline. The agreement, which goes into effect on 1 June, will bring enormous benefits to Turkish Airlines’ Miles&Smiles frequent flyer program members and to holders of the airline’s official Shop&Miles credit card. Turkish Airlines, which has made it a principle to offer passengers a more comfortable and more quality flight, signed a preliminary protocol with the Star Alliance, one of the world’s largest airline alliances, in December 2006. The initial agreement signed following the protocol was between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines and went into effect on 25 March. Following Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines, other Star Alliance members will be added to the Miles&Smiles program during 2007.
