36th Fiat Rally to start
The 36th Fiat Rally will start from Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet Square on 11 May and follow the scenic Pendik-Maltepe coast road along the Sea of Marmara.
The second round of the European Rally Championship, the 36th Fiat Rally, which runs as far as Kocaeli, is also hosting a brand new event this year: the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. The Bülent Ecevit Kartal Culture Center will serve as the rally center and service park while the viewing area will be along the Kartal-Pendik road, affording rally lovers a taste of the beautiful Istanbul coastline. On an 800 km route between Istanbul and Kocaeli, the race, which involves a total of 19 special stages, 10 of them unusual, will finish on 13 May.
