Turkish Airlines is transportation sponsor of the Mountaineering Federation
Turkish Airlines has become transportation sponsor for the Mountaineering Federation of Turkey.
In August it provided the Federation with transportation support to Kyrgyzstan, where it successfully scaled two peaks, Lenin (7105 m) and China (7546 m). The Federation, which conducts training and climbing activities regularly every year in the framework of its annual programs, is completing its summer and winter search&rescue training in a total of eight separate camps following completion earlier of basic, intermediate and advanced level training under summer and winter conditions, all in line with the regulation governing mountaineering training. The 21 mountaineers who joined this year’s climb in two teams flew from Istanbul to Kyrgyzstan on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight.
