Five days in Istanbul
‘Istanbul 5', the biggest orienteering competition in Turkey, is taking place from 24 to 28 October.
Close to 800 people are expected to take part in the event, which is being organized by the Istanbul Orienteering Sports Club. A variety of special activities are being arranged for guests from abroad throughout the competition. The ‘Istanbul 5’ competition, which is Turkey’s biggest and only international orienteering event, will be run in five days in five separate steps with new tracks for both old hats and newcomers to the sport. The event, which will kick off with a traditional competition at Ayvat Bendi on 24 October, will culminate in the Eurasia Marathon on 28 October. For details, visit www.ist5days,com
