14th Annual Aviation Symposium held
Hosted by Turkish Airlines and Ohio State University, the 14th International Aviation Symposium was held 17-18 September.
14th Annual Aviation Symposium heldTurkish Airlines’ President, Temel Kotil, and the Chairman of Ohio State’s Aviation Department, Nawal Taneja, spoke at the opening of the symposium, which was held at Istanbul’s Polat Renaissance Hotel. Centered around the theme, ‘Strategic Business Risk Management in Turbulent Times', the symposium took up the future vision of airlines in the wake of the post-9/11 crisis and all the risks that could impact on the sector as a result. Attended by high-level airline executives, the symposium made a significant contribution to the development of new strategies for coping with common crisis situations. Turkish Airlines, which brought the stars of the aviation sector together last year for the Star Alliance meeting, is going to host all of IATA’s members in June of this year on the occasion of their annual meeting.
