Turkish Airlines is back in South Africa
With its ever-expanding new fleet, Turkish Airlines is continuing to add new flight destinations, joining various cities in Turkey with the four corners of the world.
Scheduled flights to two major cities in South Africa, Cape Town and Johannesburg, got underway on 17 September. At a promotional evening to inaugurate the flights, it was pointed out that they will further boost economic and social relations between the two countries. Board of Directors member Hamdi Topçu expressed the airline’s great pleasure at being able to contribute to commercial and social activity between the two countries. Turkish Airlines executives, Premier of the Cape Province Ebrahim Rassol, members of the local and foreign press as well as Turkish and foreign invited guests attended the promotional evening. Bringing the total number of countries it flies to up to 69 with these new routes, Turkish Airlines has increased its foreign destinations to 106. The schedule for the Istanbul - Johannesburg/Cape Town flights is: Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. from Istanbul, and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 7:25 p.m from Johannesburg/Cape Town.
