Mona Lisa comes to Istanbul
The unique, one-of-a-kind Monalisa doll has been brought to Istanbul by poet Sunay Akın and is on view now for visitors to the Istanbul Toy Museum.
First produced in 1954 by Fawn Zeller, a famous producer of porcelain dolls, the Monalisa doll captures the interest of people young and old. One of the most outstanding features of this doll, which has a porcelain head, is its clothes, which are based on Leonardo’s famous painting and reflect Renaissance fashions from the 1500’s.
