The festival, which includes a total of 22 events with participation by more than 55 artists Turkish and foreign, opens with a concert by the Wiener Kammerphilharmonie at the Aya İrini Museum on 6 June. Featuring everything from master performers and prize-winning young artists to exciting musical encounters with top ensembles, a concert marathon awaits music lovers this year with performances by the Kremerata Baltica, a Grammy-winner ensemble that brings acclaimed violinist Gidon Kremer together with talented young people from the Baltic countries, and by soprano and musicologist Çimen Seymen in her new project, ‘Müsenna', which combines 17th century European and Ottoman palace music and dances.
