LET Tournament comes to Turkey in May
Launched in the year 2000, the Ladies European Tour Limited (LET) golf tournament is being held this year for the first time in Turkey, Götenburg and Korea.
Open only to professional women golfers, the tournament is regarded as one of the world’s biggest golf events with backing by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Scotland. Changed in structure and name to restructured and renamed the European Ladies’ Professional Golf Association Limited in 1998, in 2000 it became the Ladies European Tour Limited, as it is known today. The world’s top 120 women golfers from 34 countries are taking part in this year’s LET tournaments, which are spread over four continents and 22 different countries. One leg of this year’s LET Tournament, known as the Garanti American Express Turkish Open, will take place in Turkey 6-11 May. The tournament will be held at the National Golf Club in Antalya Belek.
