Turkish Airlines introduces flights to Birmingham (England)
Following London (Heathrow and Stansted) and Manchester, Turkish Airlines on 15 December started flying to Birmingham as its 4th destination in England. Currently planned to be five times a week, the Birmingham flights will be available at promotional fares of 129 euros, taxes included, from 15 December 2008 to 31 January 2009. Turkish Airlines’ Board Chairman Candan Karlıtekin, Birmingham International Airport’s CEO Paul Kehoe and the Right Honorable Joan Ryan MP all spoke at the ceremony to open the new route which was held at Birmingham Airport. Ryan said that a bright future awaits THY and Turkey.
