A unforgettable chevalier
‘Erdal Öz: An Unforgettable Chevalier’ is the life story of one of the 50’s generation of Turkish novelists, short-story writers and publishers, Erdal Öz, as told to Ayşe Sarısayın, one of Turkey’s master storytellers.
One of the young writers who brought out the ‘a dergisi’, a magazine of the controversial period of the 27 May military takeover in 1960, Öz is a leading revolutionary and storyteller who had made a name for himself by the time of the Turkey’s next army intervention on 12 March 1971. His autobiography tells the life story of an honorable man who has held his head high despite all the pressures.
