An exhibition on war
A photography exhibition entitled “Nuremberg from 1937 to 1947 in Photographs in the City Archives”, jointly organized by the Suna-İnan Kıraç Mediterranean Civilizations Research Institute (AKMED) with Antalya and its sister-city Nuremberg, will be open to art lovers at the AKMED Exhibition Hall 11 June to 11 July.
Around 70 photographs selected from a collection of 900,000 photos and negatives in the Nuremberg Archives Office offer views of the city in the years just before and after the Second World War. A series of moving color photographs shot in 1947-48 document the reconstruction efforts that were slowly getting under way and the rebirth of life in the city.
