Karacadağ through the eyes of Umut Kaçar
An extinct volcano between the eastern Turkish cities of Urfa, Diyarbakır and Mardin, Karacadağ is returning to the agenda in Umut Kaçar’s photographs with texts by M. Sait Taşkıran at the Diyarbakır Municipal Exhibition Hall.
Part of the Diyarbakır Art Festival, the exhibition, which consists of photographs shot by Umut Kaçar at various periods in 2005-2006, bears witness to the life struggle of the nomads that inhabit the mountain. Through 7 June.
