Held this year for the 28th time, the Istanbul Book Fair is bringing bibliophiles a program chock full of 297 different events.
‘Translation in Inter-cultural Dialogue’ is the principal theme of the fair, in which 550 publishers and organizations of civil society from Turkey and abroad will take part. Poet, translator and drama critic Cevat Çapan is the honorary writer of this year’s fair, which is being organized by TÜYAP Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş. and the Association of Turkish Publishers. Through 8 November at the Beylikdüzü TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center.
ART FAIR
Taking place simultaneously with the Istanbul Book Fair is the 19th Istanbul Art Fair, ARTIST 2009. Muhsin Kut is the artist of honor at ARTIST 2009, which is welcoming over 100 participants as well as art lovers in its four large halls. Kut will be represented with a comprehensive exhibition at the fair.
