A Fly And A Diamond
Art does not remain only on the wall; it can be worn as well…
Istanbul is hosting an exhibition that supports this claim it is not accustomed to. The display contains many works that challenge the imagination from thick wrist bands strung with ceramic teeth to silicone necklaces that resemble veins or the edges of a necklace where a frozen fly and a diamond meet.
It’s hard to believe, but this is a jewelry exhibition! Called “SODAmore Summer 2010: Art of Contemporary Jewelry,” this exhibition is important because it shows that art has not just remained hanging on walls, but at the same time it can be worn.
