Islands Museum
There is a museum that has been talked about and expected to open since last year: the Islands Museum.
At last the expected has materialized and the museum opened its doors on July 31st. As the Islands Museum Project’s first important step, the exhibition opened in Büyükada takes its place in the harbor squares of Heybeliada, Burgaz and Kınalı. Entitled “Towards the Islands Museum,” the exhibition’s design carries the signatures of Sadık Karamustafa and Ayşe Karamustafa. Prepared with the slogans, “The story told is our story” and “Don’t allow memories to disappear; let them be shared and passed on to the future,” the exhibition can be viewed at the Büyükada Harbor Square until September 12th.
