A Giant Step From Turkish Technic
Turkish Technic and Goodrich Corporation (NYSE:GR) signed all necessary contracts to establish a joint venture company to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in İstanbul.
Both companies expressed their intentions to establish such a service center in 2007 to provide services for Turkish Airlines, other airlines based in Turkey and neighboring fleets in the region. The signing of the agreement constitutes an important step in realizing this intent. The service premises are expected to start operating by the first quarter of 2011. “With this agreement we are once again proving the fact that İstanbul is an important repair and maintenance terminal for Turkey and the surrounding international market” says the General Director of Turkish Technic, Associate Professor İsmail Demir regarding this venture.
