Festival Time
July means festivals. In Turkey and all over the world…
Launched by The Student Union of Novi Sad University in Serbia, this festival brings together a number of different musical genres. Among the guests of this year’s festival, July 8-10, are: Mika, LCD Soundsystem, Placebo, Missy Elliott, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Röyksopp, David Guetta and Faith No More.
Held at Denmark’s Roskilde since 1971, this music festival was one of the first in the world. Among the guests of this year’s festival, July 1-4, are: Gorillaz, Jack Johnson, Muse, Prince, The Prodigy, PattiSmith and Band, Them Crooked Vultures and Alice in Chains.
Held at Werchter near Brussels, Rock Werchter’s guests this year include: Faithless, Muse, Stereophonics, Skunk Anansie, Pearl Jam, Them Crooked Vultures, Vampire Weekend, Alice in Chains, Wolfmother, Green Day and Rammstein. The festival will take place July 1-4.
Held 1,240 meters above sea level in the highlands of Mt. Siniatsiko two hours from Salonica, this festival, July 15-18, boasts a guest from Turkey: Gevende.
