Adam’s Lament
One of the world’s greatest living musicians, Estonian composer Arvo Pärt is regarded as a modern Mozart.
In a cooperation between 2010 European Capital of Culture Istanbul and the Estonian city of Talinn, which is slated to hold the Capital of Culture title in 2011, the composer’s ‘Adam’s Lament’ will premier at Istanbul’s Aya İrini on Monday, June 7, as part of the 38th Istanbul International Music Festival.
