Not A Biennale, A Triennale!
Five hundred young artists are taking part in the MÜGSF International Student Triennale, held this year for the 5th time.
Organized by the Marmara University School of Fine Arts (MÜGSF), this year’s 5th ‘International Student Triennale’ gets under way on the university’s Acıbadem campus on June 7th. Over 500 students from 94 institutions in 46 countries on the world’s four continents are participating in the event, which runs through June 30th. One of the Triennale’s subsidiary events of interest is a symposium entitled, ‘East of the West and West of the East: New Approaches in Art and Design’, to be held in the school’s lecture hall on June 8 and 9 following the opening. Meanwhile the student exhibitions, most of which will take place on the Acıbadem campus, will be extended through the end of August.
