Something For Everyone
A comprehensive repertoire is awaiting music lovers at the International Istanbul Music Festival.
Finally it’s here, the month all classical music buffs have been waiting for. The International Istanbul Music Festival is starting on June 3rd with the traditional opening concert by the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic.
Held this year for the 38th time, the festival features a total of 21 events including symphony and chamber orchestras, vocal concerts, chamber music, recitals and jazz arrangements. It will welcome more than 600 musicians, Turkish and foreign, among them names like Arvo Pärt, Lang Lang and Radu Lupu. And the informal and informative pre-concert talks are sure to please audiences.
