Topkapı Hosting The Kremlin
Istanbul’s Topkapı Palace is continuing to host the exhibition ‘ Treasures of the Moscow Kremlin at Topkapı Palace’, which opened last month. Featured in the exhibition, which is sponsored by the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, are artifacts from the 16th and 17th centuries, a period of peace in Ottoman-Russian relations. The exhibition consists of some 100 pieces, which focus on the lives of the tsars in their capacity as heads of state and army commanders.
