Turkish Airlines Big Support For Golf
Turkish Airlines has become sponsor of the Turkey leg of this year’s European Challenge Tour, to be held at Antalya-Belek under the name ‘Turkish Airlines Challenge’. A hundred and fifty-six professional golfers will come to Turkey for the tournament, April 29 - May 2 at Belek, which boasts 11 luxury golf courses with 279 holes.
In an announcement he made following the signing of the agreement, Alain de Soultrait, Director of The European Challenge Tour, thanked Turkish Airlines for undertaking name sponsorship of the tournament.
Meanwhile the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open, another major event of which Turkish Airlines is a sponsor, will be held, again at Belek, May 6-9. Television coverage of the Turkey leg of the Ladies European Tour (LET), previously held in Turkey in 2008, is expected to reach a billion viewers worldwide. The National Golf Club at Antalya Belek will be hosting 108 professional women golfers from more than 30 countries for Turkish Airlines Ladies Open Turkey.
