Turkish Airlines Support For The Final 4
Turkish Airlines has become official airline sponsor of the Euroleague Final 4. The Final 4 matches of the Euroleague, Europe’s largest and most prestigious basketball competition, will be played in the French capital Paris’s Bercy Arena May 7-9. To decide who goes to the final, Russia’s CSKA Moscow team will first compete with Spain’s Regal FC Barcelona on the evening of Friday, May 7, to be followed by a faceoff between Olympiakos of Greece and Partizan of Serbia. The final match of Final 4 will be played on Sunday, May 9, and broadcast live to 185 countries. On the same day, the losers in the first match will compete for 3rd and 4th place. Starting with the participation of 24 teams from 13 countries in October 2009, Euroleague Final 4 has been played since 1988. Turkey’s Efes Pilsen and Fenerbahçe Ülker have been taking part every year in Euroleague, in which Greece’s Panathinaikos team won last year’s cup by defeating CSKA Moscow 73-71 in a match played in Berlin.
