Two writers in two countries, both passionate lovers of historical and detective novels, Alexandra Schwarzbrod and Ahmet Ümit will be sharing their tastes in, analyses of and views on the detective novel at the French Culture Center on November 3rd.
Yapı Kredi Culture Center is opening its three halls to an exhibition entitled ‘PastPresentFuture - A Selection from the UniCredit Group Collection’, coming to Istanbul after Vienna and Verona. The exhibition can be visited between November 5th and December 31st.

The Istanbul French Culture Center is hosting an exhibition entitled, ‘Istanbul Through the Eyes of the Photojournalists’, starting from November 25th.
The films of Austrian director Michael Haneke are being reinterpreted as photographic frames. The event, entitled ‘The Photographs in the Film’, will take place at Akbank Sanat on November 26th as part of İFSAK’s 22nd Istanbul Photography Days. Starting time is 7 p.m.
Jehan Barbur, who has breathed life into the soundtracks of many films and TV series with her voice and lyrics, will perform songs from her latest album, ‘Uyan’ (Wake Up), in a concert at Nardis Jazz on November 30. Accompanying the artist will be Evrim Tüzün, Berkant Çelen, Murat Çopur and Onur Başkurt.
