A very unwanted future may be awaiting us!

The “Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe” in Hamburg seeks an answer to the question of how we can stay alive in a foreboding future. This answer sought by the museum together with designers, architects and futurists from the whole world will actually be needed in the not too distant future. Especially when it is thought that with humanity’s cooperation the world has been brought to the point where it can no longer breathe…

What kind of place will the world be when the level of oxygen has fallen in a frightening way, when the sun begins to burn us instead of warming us, and when our drinking water resources close to exhaustion pass to the monopoly of a few? Even if it sounds frightening to the ear, the realization of this type of a dystopia is not far off.

Like the rose that hid from all eyes inside a glass jar in Antoine de Saint Exupery’s novel, “Little Prince,” people are imprisoned in a glass jar or nylon bag in the “Climate Capsules” exhibition. Even if it is on the level of designers’ prophesies for now, this is a display that hits hard and from which a lesson should be taken…
