ONE OF THE WORLD’S BIGGEST FESTIVALS OF ELECTRONIC ART, ISEA OPENS IN ISTANBUL ON SEPTEMBER 14.
Istanbul is hosting the 17th International Symposium on Electronic Art, organized every year in a different city by ISEA (Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts). Scheduled to take place September 14 to 21, ISEA2011 is bringing together in Istanbul the world’s leading individuals and organizations working in the fields of contemporary art, science and technology. Venues for the event, which includes 450 papers, 70 panel discussions, 50 workshops and four forums, are the Sabancı Center in Levent, Sabancı University Karaköy Communications Center and Robert College.
ISEA2011 is hosting a series of exhibitions of mainly robotic and video works as well as performances by some 900 artists. Starting from September 17 the exhibitions will run for two months at Taksim Cumhuriyet Art Gallery, Şirket-i Hayriye Art Gallery, Sabancı University Kasa Gallery and Zagreb Contemporary Art Gallery.
